NEW VAN

Preston Knowles "Claudine" and Dale Smith at the Karastan Health Fair

We are grateful to the Annie Penn Community Trust for their help securing a new Disaster/Blood Services Van. Our old van had over 200,000 miles and was on it's last leg. The van is used to help single family fire victims, help Blood Services with blood drives, transport victims during times of disaster and carry food to our pantry. The van can be seen all over the county and it helps to remind citzens of the services the Red Cross offers.

The Annual Karastan Health Fair proved again to be a successful opportunity for the American Red Cross to get the word out about the services provided here in Rockingham County. The "Vial of Life" a medical history bottle, was the hot item that kept many of the organizers and participants asking for more and quoting, "The best gadget this year." The American Red Cross personnel talked with over 200 people and explaining the different services that the Red Cross provides and giving out literature about volunteers, diasater services, and blood drives here in Rockingham County.
Thank you for your support of the American Red Cross.
